Pizza Croutons on a loaded Winter Salad with Creamy Dill Dressing
This salad might be the best thing I've ever made and i say that in all seriousness
There has long existed a paradigm in in the cooking world (and the fashion world where I worked previously) that the only way to prove you are good at something is to have suffered from it. I think this is bogus and patriarchal and annoying thinking at best.
I never went to culinary school so I couldn’t possibly call myself a chef! And I never worked in a kitchen under a tatted up chef who felt they had the power to verbally or sexually abuse their team, so maybe I actually know nothing about “real cooking”.
Since becoming a mother and learning to give zero shits about what other people think, I just introduce myself as a chef and that is that. If 16 years cooking professionally doesn’t qualify me than I don’t know what will and furthermore, I don’t give a damn.
That is my way of saying that as a certified foodchefperson with expertise I would like to introduce you to the very best use of leftover pizza I have ever tasted…The Pizza Crouton!
I don’t care if this salad impresses you! But I do care if it makes you want to gobble it all up straight from the bowl. And that perhaps you are inclined to make it again the next day for lunch because that is exactly what I did.
